Give yourself over to absolute pleasure when the ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW returns to The Palace this fall.
Rocky holds the record for the longest-running release in film history – a whopping 42 years and counting! Interestingly, the film bombed when it was first released in 1975. When it was re-released as a midnight movie, the film really took off! It was a midnight mainstay at The Palace Danbury during the 1980’s.
The film is a musical parody of B-movies, science fiction and horror films. A young couple get a flat tie during a storm and stumble into the eerie castle of Dr. Frank-N-Furter. Directed by Jim Sharman, Rocky launched the careers of Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick, and Meatloaf.
