The film is a musical parody of B-movies, science fiction, and horror films. Directed by Jim Sharman, Rocky Horror launched the careers of Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick, and Meatloaf.
Rocky holds the record for the longest-running release in film history! Interestingly, the film bombed when it was first released in 1975. When it was re-released as a midnight movie, the film really took off! It was a midnight mainstay at The Palace during the 1980’s. It’s back in Danbury although now we start at 8PM. Come on back to The Palace and do the Time Warp again!
