The 24th annual Manhattan Short Film Festival returns to Danbury’s Palace Theatre for an eye-popping weekend of independent films from around the world! The festival is a showcase for new voices and perspectives. Ten short films screen simultaneously across six continents during a one-week period, with the Best Film and Best Actor awards determined by ballots cast by the audiences in each participating venue.
MANHATTAN SHORT is not a touring Festival; it’s a celebration that occurs simultaneously across the globe, bringing great films to great venues and allowing the audiences to select their favorites.

The judges of the films are you. Audiences at each venue are asked to vote for the film and actor they think should win. We don’t mean to brag…. but The Palace audience has a long history of picking the winners!
