Once Were Brothers: Robbie Robertson and The Band is a compelling, cautionary, and occasionally humorous tale of one of the most enduring groups in the history of popular music, The Band. The film documents the group’s formation, time on the road with Bob Dylan, late-1960s and early-1970s peak and legendary The Last Waltz final concert.

Directed by Daniel Roher, the film is a moving story of Robertson’s personal journey, overcoming adversity and finding camaraderie alongside the four other men-Levon Helm (drums), Rick Danko (bass), Richard Manuel (keyboards), Garth Hudson (multi-instrumentalist)- who would become his brothers in music, together making their mark on music history.
